The most adorable, fun, cheeky double tea light holder by rising ceramic artist Michelle Im from Queens, New York. It has holes on either side to hang on a wall.
The RatxChicks Ceramics designer says, "I don’t really like pigeons—but they’re part of the New York experience and I try to find the beauty in them." We love the deep space adventure these two pigeons are encountering, complete with a planter and flowers, lightening bolts and a rocket ship.
Description
"Influenced by the importance placed on porcelain works in Korean ceramics culture, I was drawn to the material in the beginning. I started ceramics working on the wheel and firing porcelain to high temperatures. Eventually, as I developed my ideas for surface decoration, I turned to hand building methods and now I strictly work with earthenware clay."

Meet the Artist
Humor drives a lot of the ideas Michelle Im of RatxChicks Ceramics has for her ceramic forms and especially, their decoration. A Korean-American artist, she explores ideological tensions she experienced growing up in South Korea and America. She often pairs motifs that are deliberately out of sync to capture a sense of approachable absurdity. These fun and delightful vessels will bring joy to all who use them!
