RETURN POLICIES
We believe deeply in our edit. We love discovering and making pretty, handsome, tasty things of quality, craftsmanship and imagination for you… And we want you to be super happy with your purchase. However, as many of our products are small-batch, limited edition, original one-of-a-kind, custom, commissioned, made-to-order, and/or delicate, some items cannot be returned and are final sale. We will do our best to communicate that to you but in many cases, our conversations or product terms aren’t able to cover it all, so please review the following practices and conditions:
When you visit our Site (see Terms of Service), you entrust us to guide your experience of the brands and products we curate and make. We are committed to providing a seamless experience, with friendly service and strict attention to privacy and security.
RETURN POLICY
We’re sorry that your purchase doesn’t work for you. If you wish to return it, we will gladly issue a store credit or exchange within 14 days of purchase or delivery receipt for items that are returned in original condition. We do not offer refunds for items purchased. To be considered for a full store credit, item/s should be: new, unsealed as applicable, unused and in their original package. Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange.
Exceptions
Some skincare and bodycare products: if you have skin reactions or sensory reactions to Pure Mana formulations, please let us know within the 14 day period and we will provide a store credit for exchange. If there is excessive use of product in the period of time, we reserve the right to refuse an exchange. If you have a skin or sensory reaction to Miami Beach Bum formulations within 3 days and there is no evidence of excessive use of product in this period of time we can provide a store credit or exchange.
Items not Eligible for Return
- Vintage: Due to their delicate nature, and as-is condition, all of our vintage goods are final sale. Exceptions are on a case by case basis.
- Perfume: Due to the nature of perfume products, we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds.
- Edible: All edible/drinkable items are non-returnable.
- Textiles/Apparel: Cannot be returned if there are any signs of use or washing.
- Fine Art: Unless specifically discussed, Fine Art is final sale. Exceptions may apply on a case-by-case basis
- Custom Jewelry: Due to the bespoke nature of the process and item, custom jewelry is not eligible for return. It is possible that modifications can be made and associated costs will be discussed, in order to best satisfy the customer.
- Resized Jewelry: Final sale.
- Commissioned Art and Objects: Due to the bespoke nature of the process and item, commissioned art and objects are not eligible for return. It is possible that modifications can be made and associated costs will be discussed, in order to best satisfy the customer.
- Large Furniture and Accessories: Due to the delicate nature of oversized items, large furniture and accessories are final sale. Exceptions are on a case by case basis.
- Sales Items: Final sale
- Gift Cards: Final sale

IN STORE RETURNS
Store Credit or Exchange
If you wish to return your purchase, we will gladly issue a store credit or exchange within 14 days of purchase for items that are returned in original condition; we do not offer refunds for items purchased. To be considered for a full store credit item/s should be: new, unsealed as applicable, unused and in their original package.
In most cases, a receipt is not necessary for a return as your item will be in our system. You can call us ahead of time to discuss the return or visit the shop with the item/s.
Gift
If you have received our merchandise as a gift and would like to return any part of it for store credit or exchange, our standard return policy applies.
WEB STORE RETURNS
Cancel an Order
If you need to cancel an order you must either email or call us within 4 hours of when you place your order. Please provide or have the name of the person who ordered the item and order number ready when you inquire. Many pieces are custom made and/or special ordered and once production begins, they cannot be cancelled.
Store Credit or Exchange

Gift
If you have received our merchandise as a gift and would like to return for store credit or exchange, our standard return policy applies.
Do Not Waive Signature
We suggest you always be present for delivery. We are not liable for any damages should you waive a signature requirement with the shipping carrier.
Damage
Should anything arrive damaged, please photograph the outside and inside of the box along with the damage and email the details to hello@poetandthebench.com; you can also call us at 415-569-4383. Do not throw away the box or damaged goods.
Please email damage notifications within 24 hours of delivery. Please provide the name of the person who ordered the item and order number when you inquire.
In certain instances, we may ask you to complete a damage claim form with the shipper in order to more effectively process the credit or exchange.
We will pay for shipping the damaged item back to Poet and the Bench and back to you.
We will happily replace the damaged item for the same item once the claim is processed if we have it in stock or help you find another item.
Defect

Please provide or have the name of the person who ordered the item and order number ready when you inquire. If a repair, exchange or credit is approved, we will happily make amends; as necessary, we may replace the defective item for the same item if we have it in stock, help you find another item, or initiate a special order.
We will pay for shipping the defective item back to Poet and the Bench and back to you.
Return Authorization Number Required
All returns must be pre-approved by Poet and the Bench. Before shipping back your return, send us an email at hello@poetandthebench.com or call 415-569-4383 and let us know which item you would like to return and why. If it is eligible (pre-inspection) for return, we will issue a Return Authorization number (RA#) to be included in your return package (see below for instructions).
Package should be postmarked within 3 days of our issuing a return authorization to you. Store credits will only be applied once returned item has been received and inspected to determine if it meets return criteria. Please allow 2-3 days for us to process your return.
We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your store credit. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a store credit will automatically be applied to a gift card.
If a return doesn’t meet our criteria we will email or call to discuss the situation with you.
RA# Instructions
Please include your name and/or the name on the order, order number, mailing address, phone number, email, and RA# inside the package and make sure the RA# is written clearly on the outside of the package.
Please be sure to reuse all protective original packaging elements to ensure your return arrives safely and in original condition.
For your security, please ship and insure your item with a reputable courier (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS Parcel Post) for the value of your purchase and retain your shipping receipt. We are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit, and loss claims must be filed by the customer with the courier used.

SPECIFIC TO JEFFREY LEVIN JEWELRY
Jeffrey Levin will accept items for exchange or store credit only within 14 days from the date order is purchased in-store or delivery received by the customer.
Custom, Special Order, Resized and Sales items are not returnable. Items received as gifts (except Custom, Special Order, Resized and Sales items) may be exchanged if they meet return conditions. Item/s must be returned in new and resaleable condition. Exchanges will be subject to shipping charges. Once your return is received and processed, you will receive a store credit.
We cannot refund shipping charges on returned items.
To return or exchange an item, a Return Authorization number (RA#) must be obtained BEFORE returning any items. Please see above for RA# instructions.

REPAIRS
Jewelry
We will repair any Jeffrey Levin jewelry item for manufacturing defects at no cost and associated costs will be discussed for repairs made for wear and tear.
We may also be able to repair other jewelry items purchased at Poet and the Bench made by other designers or we can arrange for repair with the designer that made the item for manufacturing defects at no cost and associated costs will be discussed for repairs made for wear and tear.
Other
For other items purchased at Poet and the Bench that require repair, pending the item, it is possible we can arrange for repair with the designer that made the item for manufacturing defects at no cost and associated costs will be discussed for repairs made for wear and tear.
In Store

Shipping
