Our Story

Poet and the Bench co founders, Husband and wife team, Goldsmith Jeffrey Levin and Curator Bonnie Powers

Co-Founders, husband and wife team, Goldsmith Jeffrey Levin and Curator Bonnie Powers.

"Our discovery of talented craftspeople and giving voice to their story is the distinguishing factor that brings alive the warmth, refinement and engaged design experience we craved ourselves and aim to present here."

Curated by Design

The Poet and/the Bench edit of emerging and independent designers and artists reflects our passion for discovery and a considered fascination with narrative, taste and a devotion to craft.

Our mission is to elevate the relationship we have with objects of appreciation in order to create more intimate connections between the object and the maker.

Our beautifully curated, unique collection features craftsmanship across lifestyle essentials to investment pieces. One of a kind, small batch–uncommon, never mass. A majority of our artists are from the San Francisco Bay Area, most are women, and many are BIPOC, AAPI and LGBTQ designers.

Specialty Retail

This is our atelier and creative space for jewelry, art, home goods, body care, culinary and beautifully crafted objects that elevate the every day.

You'll discover unique finds from more than 60 artists and designers who honor the craft. Our focus is on their narrative and thoughtful investigations of craft, subjects and inspirations.

Whether you’re gifting for self or others, our uncommon collection dips into the playful, fierce and sublime.

In addition to his eponymous collection, Jeffrey designs commitment rings, engagement rings, wedding bands, special occasion gifts, reimagines old heirlooms into new ones and collaborates with clients to realize bespoke, one-of-kind pieces.
