Founded in 2015, Poet and/the Bench has built a confident following for our highly curated selection of emerging and independent artists, spanning jewelry, art, ceramics and home goods, including our own line of jewelry, candles and body care. Long before “small maker” became a retail trend, we created an art and design gallery as a place for discovery, where each piece carries a point of view and a story.

We are also the working atelier of Jeffrey Levin jewelry for custom, engagement, wedding and special occasions, as well as offering permanent jewelry in house! Our ideas studio has launched an in house line of candles, home fragrance and body care collection of what we call 'atmosphere" products as well as a brand new trio of Northern California scents. They embody the beauty that surrounds us so you can take home the fragrant canvas of the Mill Valley and Mount Tamalpais forests, the San Francisco fog and the Pacific Coast ocean breeze.

Now relocated to the heart of downtown Mill Valley at 6 Miller Ave, next to Equator Coffee, across from Corner Bar and The Depot Plaza, the space reflects an evolution of our vision with greater visibility for the artists whose work might otherwise go undiscovered.

The move coincides with our business’s 10-year milestone, recent recognition as “Most Innovative Business” in Mill Valley, and recipient of Best Jewelry and Best Gifts in Marin County by Marin Magazine and voters like you!
