Wheel thrown planter by Julems Ceramics, made from a light speckled stoneware clay and glazed in white on the inside. Hand decorated in a repeating ‘Half Striped Scallop’ pattern using the sgraffito technique, where lines are hand carved through a layer of darker clay slip.The scallop shapes are then glazed with a transparent glaze, while the background is left unglazed.
Planter saucer is included, but the plant is not included.

Using her graphic design and interior design background, ceramicist Judith Lemmens plays with geometric lines and shapes and different techniques to carve and draw patterns and designs onto clay.
