Scented and hand poured locally, we only make our candles in small batches with clean ingredients to ensure the best quality, luxurious candle that delivers a memorable olfactive experience. Note, if item shows out of stock, we're likely working on pouring the next batch and will keep you posted when you'll be able to pick up, or the shipping timing.

The essence of Ocean Wander Pacific Coast: a cool Pacific breeze carries the scent of salt air across windswept bluffs and rocky headlands. Wild vegetation warms beneath the sun. Waves rise and dissolve into an endless horizon.

• Scent – Full bodied notes of Pacific Sea Breeze, Petrichor, Sea Salt, Juniper, Black Pepper, Mint, Bay Laurel, Tonka, and Oud.
• Ingredients – Vegetable wax (burns slow and clean!), premium non-toxic fragrance and essential oils (IFRA compliant phthalate-free, Prop 65 ingredient-free, free from carcinogens, mutagens and reproductive and organ toxins) and with a double cotton wick
• Vessel – Poured in reusable rocks glass can be a vessel for flowers, tealights or as a bathroom organizer.
• Size – 10oz vessel; 8oz candle
• Burn time – 8oz cylinder approximately 36-40 hours; 4oz tin approximately: 12-18 hours
• Care – To ensure a clean and even burn: after the each lighting, when the candle wax has returned to solid, trim the wick to about ¼" tall. Trim off the burned part of the wick and collect it in a tissue so you don't drop into or discolor the wax. • What is Atmosphere by Poet and the Bench?
  Atmosphere is our in-house apothecary line of clean fragrance, candles, room and body mists, and body care (lotion, hand soap and shower gel), designed to enhance mood, space, and everyday rituals.

• What does “clean fragrance” mean?
  Clean fragrance refers to scents made with thoughtfully sourced, certified air- and skin-safe ingredients, without harsh or unnecessary additives.

• What kind of wax are Poet and/the Bench Atmosphere candles made from? 
  Atmosphere candles are made with a non-toxic vegetable wax blend chosen for a clean, even burn and a refined cold (unlit) and hot (when lit) scent throw. Our wax is free from paraffin and formulated to be air-safe for everyday living. 

• Are Poet and/the Bench Atmosphere candles clean and non-toxic?

  Yes. Atmosphere candles are crafted using clean fragrance blends and a non-toxic vegetable wax base. Every component is selected with both air quality and skin safety in mind.

• Are your candles made in small batches?
  Yes. Atmosphere candles are poured in small batches to ensure quality, consistency, freshness and attention to detail at every stage of production.

• What are the candle vessels made from?
  Our candle vessels are crafted from a durable, glass material designed to withstand the heat of the flame and hot wax. Made to last well beyond the life of the candle.

• Can the candle vessel be reused?

  Absolutely. Once the candle is finished, the vessel can be cleaned and reused as a vase for flowers, for tealights or as a bathroom organizer to live on as part of your everyday rituals.

• How do I clean and reuse my candle vessel?
  After the candle has burned down, gently remove any remaining wax (pop in the freezer overnight for ease of removal) and wash the vessel with warm, soapy water. Once clean, it’s ready to be reused for food or display. See more tips about candle care, here.
