No one can deny the feeling of helplessness as we witness the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

Close to our hearts, Bonnie grew up in Houston and most of her family still lives there. The Powers family has faced big losses and some harrowing rescues, but everyone is safe. But that's not the case with others in the community who need our help more.

You might also check out the amazing efforts of the Texas Diaper Bank, the JJ Watts Foundation, the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and their just announced Rebuild Texas Fund (they are conducting a matching campaign through Sept 4), the Houston SPCA rescuing and caring for thousands of animals left homeless by Harvey, as well as the fundraising campaign for the Texas Farmer Disaster Relief to help farmers and ranchers make it through this terrible disaster.
