Jon Carling creates nuanced, whimsical illustrations inspired by the natural world that surrounded him during his formative years in Northern California. Raised with vintage children's books, comic books and a passion for ancient mythology, his unmistakable pen and pencil drawings create narratives that are both enchanting and timeless. We also describe them as fantastical, mythological, magical, folkloric, historic and science fiction inspired.
