The Legend of the Owl and Crow. Abstracted color and forms compose the environment for representational depictions of animals to reside in. The animals carry their own associations and meanings entwined with those of my own personal narrative. Often, they can be symbols of prevalent relationships in my life. At times they are presented in isolation, self reflecting. Pairs or groups form more complicated dialogues.
Description
We've been struck by the emotionality that sits both on the surface and deep beneath Michael's artworks. Without always knowing the symbology present in a piece, you can feel the resonance he has with living things.
