COVID-19 Site Specific Protection Plan

Per guidance of the Health Officer of the County of Marin:


  • Customers are not allowed to enter the premises of the store at this time
  • Curbside delivery to your car is available if you have pre-paid, found parking in front of the shop and called us at 415-569-4383 to let us know you are arriving
  • Walk-Up / Pick-Up Transactions on Throckmorton and El Paseo Lane will occur outside the shop, in the doorways
  • You can pre-buy via the Shop section of our website
  • We can curate to pre-buy at 415-569-4383 and via FaceTime; view shop windows, website & Instagram @poetandthebench
  • Contactless-pay at Walk-up / Pick Up via credit cards and tap (eg Apple Pay); preferred over cash
  • As necessary, El Paseo used for line overflow and transactions will only occur at Throckmorton


  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after each shopping/dining trip location
  • Wear your mask; this is a Marin County mandate which protects our community; we are advised to communicate with the public that they should use face coverings
  • Maintain at least six foot distance from shop owners and when in line with others
  • Allow sufficient sidewalk space for safe pedestrian right-of-way at all times
  • If you feel unwell, have a cough, fever, symptoms of COVID-19, tested positive or have come into contact with someone who has, please avoid shopping in person until you are symptom free or have isolated for 14 days and have tested negative


  • We are wearing masks with filters and gloves and changing out regularly
  • We are disinfecting counters, door handles, other high touch surfaces and products daily; washing hands regularly; using hand sanitizer and wipes for/after packaging and deliveries
  • We are limiting our own social contact since we have such a public facing role
  • We will not come to the shop if we have any symptoms of illness
