Vintage / Bar Cart / Mid Century / Extendable Sliding Top

• Dimensions – 17.5W x 31.25L x 24.5 H; extended, the length becomes 50.5
• Materials – Teak with a formica or melamine surface under the sliding wood top 
• Use – Bar Cart, Serving Cart, Side Table, Coffee Table; 
• Condition – The construction is incredibly solid and there is minimal use on the main unit and the surface under the top; the wheels however do have quite a bit of wear on the rubber but it gives it patina. Very good condition considering the age, with little wear overall; some slight imperfections and as noted, quite a bit of wear on the rubber of the wheels. Sold as-is.

Kurt Østervig (1912-1986) was a naval architect who moved into Danish furniture design and we're so fortunate as he crafted some beautiful and iconic pieces throughout his career. He both had his own studio and worked for many well-known designers, including Jason Møbler, Schillers Polstermøblerfabrik and Brande.

As part of the Poet and/the Bench small-batch maker philosophy, we believe there are treasures of objects in existence from other eras that both deserve our artistic appreciation and reuse for the health of the planet. For our Found collection, we primarily collect from the 50's-70's, including Mid-Century Modern from Scandinavia, Japan, Europe and the US as well as German Op Art.
