Linda Benenati created this series as a tribute to her mother and dreamers everywhere. This one is Golden Girl, in homage to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Italian immigrants, her parents followed their dreams to come to America, settling in Detroit, Michigan. Obsessed with Hollywood, Linda's mother convinced their father to load up their brand-new 1957 Buick with a trailer hitched to the back and drove across the United States, landing in California. A land of orange and palm trees, bordered by an ocean, they considered it paradise, and never regretted their decision.
