$ 55.00

We have run out of stock for this item.

This small plate in porcelain serves your cookies, avocado toast and side salad with personality. The illustrated Japanese medaka fish characters are from Kikuko's imagination and views from the colorful and rich experience of her world.

The plate is wheel thrown and then decorated in an inlay technique. You can feel the moist whiteness and texture of the porcelain itself without using glaze on purpose.

Description
"One day, my son brought some medaka fish to our home. We put them in a big jarwith water plants and started to watch them every day. In their new home, the medakas swam smoothly and peacefully. Water plants softly floating on the water touched the fish comfortably. The child's laughing face is reflected in the medaka. At first there were only three fish, but now there are nearly 20. Through daily repetition, both the children and the fish are growing up."
