• One of a Kind – Each piece of Maddalena Bearzi organic jewelry is a precious object made by hand. As such, no item will look the same as another, even if it is the same style. Handmade jewelry will also bear some “imperfections” which are the evidence of the workmanship and something we celebrate and take pride in.
• Care – We recommend putting your jewelry on only after showering and applying any moisturizers or fragrances, and removing your jewelry before going to bed. Avoid exposing your jewelry to wet or moist conditions.
• Sustainability – Maddalena’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in her use of reclaimed, vintage and fine metals, upcycled vintage objects, precious and semi-precious sustainable stones and Japanese organic cotton.

Maddalena Bearzi is a Los Angeles-based jewelry designer, scientist and author. She has a Ph.D. in Biology and is president of the research and environmental non-profit Ocean Conservation Society. Growing up in an artistic family, she discovered her love of making and studied metalsmithing at the University of California, Los Angeles. We love that in Maddalena’s jewelry, you can see the influences of her work in the natural environment and which comes through in her use of environmentally-friendly practices. Her jewelry is organic, earthy, elegant and with that right bit of edge.
