Laos the Green Bunny, friends with Pink and Tangerine, is the newest fun folk-pop character from Austyn Taylor’s imagination, spreading joy, love, optimism and hope… Austyn's sculptures evoke a curious humor as a salve to the oft absurd and alienating experience of existing. Bring one home as part of your family!
Description
Love the humor and strength of these new ceramic animal sculptures that just landed by artist and sculptor Austyn Taylor. What fun, celebratory works at the intersection of contemporary art, history and pop culture. Austyn's invented characters draw from ancient and contemporary sources to create works of “folk-pop”. Somewhere between “hype” and “hope” the history of their creation is reflected in the material handling.

Meet the Artist
Austyn Taylor's art practice is at its core a reaction to the deconstructed heaps of culture left by post modernism and a search for value and virtue. Her aim as an artist is to create works which circle around sacred values such as unconditional love, authenticity, imagination and human dignity. For 20 years her work has utilized figurative characters evolved from the closest thing to authentically sacred symbols from her culture – the graphic hand drawn aesthetics found in American animation. Discover one of today's top rising stars of contemporary art and ceramics!
